KoogleWerks built 168mm Limited slip differential for 2002/2002tii

Learning from our many years of driving (and abusing) these cars, we’ve found just right formula and taken the guesswork out of searching for a Limited slip differential for your 2002.

Offered with either Wavetrac LSD (limited lifetime warrantee) or OEM style 1.5 / 2-way clutch type LSD (call for options)

We treat every differential as a new build.

We start by disassembling, meticulously cleaning, and inspecting all the components in your differential.

We then strip the case of its oils, rust, and grime down to a clean bare metal surface. the case is then recoated using a chemical proof rust preventative type coating, to restore it to a better than OEM finish

With a fully reconditioned case, and meticulously cleaned ring and pinion. we will then start the build.

All kooglewerks builds will consist of the following new components:

bearings, shims, seals, Circlips, 10.9 hardware, Stainless spring washers, Crush sleeve, Internal metal oil ring, reconditioned genuine BMW rear cover. Clutch packs (OEM type only), Compression rings ( OEM type only)

Setting all Backlash and bearing preload tolerances to exceed OEM spec. this “set it and forget it” approach makes for a differential that will likely outlive the rest of your drivetrain.

For mild performance M10 powered cars, we can use your stock/OEM 4 bolt side flange differential as a core, with the choice of either 3.64 or 3.91 ratios. (450$ core charge will be credited back, upon receiving and inspecting your rebuildable differential.)

For 200+ HP (S14 and M20 cars) we use the E21 6 bolt flange cores, with 3.64 or 3.91 ratios available. (550$ core charge will be credited back, upon receiving and inspecting your rebuildable differential.)

Important notes.

We recommend that everyone considers upgrading to the stronger 6-bolt large bearing case For added long term reliability and power plant versatility.

Additional micro polish and cryo treatment are available for all differentials by request. Please allow two week lead time for the additional work.

the OEM clutch type LSD units have optional ramp angle and clutch preload options. Will be discussed during ordering process

For all clutch type LSD builds there will be a $1100 core charge collected rather than the pricing stated above (due to the cost of additional parts & labor)
